I love it when an author surprises me with a twist I never saw coming!Ĭelaena really develops in this novel. There’s more at stake – and the twist half-way through was fantastic. The character development was more exciting, the themes darker. The second installment to the Throne of Glass series was even better than the first. I highly recommend this character-driven fantasy series. ![]() ![]() I’m always a bit cautious when reading novels where the heroine appears to have superhuman abilities but Celaena is completely believable as the tough-as-nails teenage assassin.
